NEWTON
LONGVILLE FREE CHURCH
Baptist & Methodist

HISTORY
The new premises were built on land bequeathed back in 1932.
The original Baptist Chapel was built in 1850 and is still located at the
bottom end of London End. It was sold in 1993 and the congregation joined with
the Methodist Chapel built in 1864 which is still located in Westbook End, now
converted into a house. When the building was declared in need of drastic
repair, (for which no funds were available) the premises were sold.
In about 1998 the congregation moved into St. Faith's, sharing the building but
maintaining their own service and identity.
The new premises were opened 6 August 2006.
