Please note – the following info was too late for the newsletter so will you please make note that Thames Valley Police in conjunction with the Winslow Fire and Rescue team are holding an open evening from 7-9pm on 17 November where the Fire and Rescue team will be talking to young people and showing films about the dangers of driving in anti-social ways.  Thames Valley Police will also be present to attach number plates to vehicles with tamper-proof screws.  This is in response to an increase in the theft of number plates which are then used in crime.  If you would like to take advantage of this free service just turn up with your vehicle for them to be attached.

I also attach some good news which was also too late for the newsletter:

Hare Coursing Success

On the 1 November a 27 year old male was arrested at a farm in Mentmore, near Aylesbury and charged with hare coursing.  This is an ongoing issue in surrounding villages where local farmers have suffered a lot of damage to their crops and gates.  There have been several incidents in recent months and this is the first arrest of this hare coursing season in the area.  Police hope this will send out a message to those who think they come and get away with it.
Best wishes
