Like last year during the summer walks we went further afield and more cross-country. The walks at Sherington and Emberton were really beautiful. It seems to be a bit of a habit to drop into a nearby pub for lunch after the walks but it’s a matter of choice and not everyone does this. If you feel like joining us on our walks you are very welcome — there’s likely to be someone you know — or just come and make some new friends.
Walks start at 10.OOam and last about 2 hours covering about 4 miles.
THURSDAY 10TH MAY Cheddington – The walk takes in a part of the Grand Union Canal we haven’t done before near Marsworth. Meet in the car park of the Old Swan in the village of Cheddington.
WEDNESDAY 6th JUNE Turvey (on the A428 about 7 miles west of Bedford) Park in the centre of Turvey village near Newton Lane. There are pubs in the village which may allow us to park while we walk.
TUESDAY 19TH JUNE at 6.00pm We’re going to try an evening walk at Emberton Country Park. Park in the car park near the Willows cafĂ©. There will be pubs on Olney if you want to have a meal after the walk.
